Marriage and parenting isn't for the faint of heart. When we learn to love one another they way God desires, the outcome is nothing short of miraculous!
If you are struggling in your marriage, we encourage you to get help. With God nothing is impossible! There is hope!
First, we encourage you to attend one or more of our local Marriage Experiences. While attending a one-day marriage retreat may help, it is not likely to bring about complete restoration. Working toward having the kind of marriage God intended for you to have is a process. We recommend you reach out to a local mentor, counselor, or minister that is committed to walking with you every step of the way to help you and your spouse experience restoration and all the goodness God intended for your marriage and family.
While many resources exist and we encourage you to research them to find the one that fits you best, we have provided a short list of recommended local resources below. Some charge for their services and others accept donations. The House Experience does not receive any payment for making these recommendations or compensation for referrals. The following individuals and ministries are devoted Christ-followers who desire to see broken marriage and family relationships restored for God's glory.

Dr. James G. Johnson passionately serves others in their walk with God and personal relationships. Dr. J is a licensed ordained pastor of 41 years, published author, conference speaker, licensed biblical counselor, and master life coach with national and international exposure. He serves as a mentor to many Christian couples and individuals who live in Omaha and beyond.
Dr. J states there are two key benefits to having a mentor: First, a commitment to a PROCESS. Many times we want to grow, but “life gets in the way.” When you’ve made a commitment of time and effort into a mentoring process, you know on a regular basis someone who cares is going to be connecting with you to help you get where you want to go. Second, there’s a commitment in a mutual PARTNERSHIP. Having someone walking with you in the direction you want to go is huge. Having someone who can draw things out of you, give you ideas, offer encouragement and inspiration, be a sounding board, keep you on track according to where you want to go and so on, is also extremely invaluable. Research shows if you’re working on a goal with someone else, the chances of you reaching your goal goes from 15% (if you try to do it on your own) up to 75 to 80% (if you have someone working with you and walking with you as you move toward that goal)? That’s HUGE. Dr. J wants to be your mentor for the journey. Dr. J holds a Ph.D. in Christian Counseling from Northwestern University; DCC from Christian Leadership University, Master of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology; Bachelor’s Degree from University of Nebraska, Major in Philosophy of Logic/Mathematics, minored in math, chemistry, history, Greek and English. He holds a BCPC (board certified pastoral counselor) a BCCC (board-certified Christian Counselor) with The American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), and is a Certified Master life coach with International Christian Coaching Association (ICCA). While he is also a 2nd degree black belt, private pilot and certified sailing instructor, he believes his greatest claim is being known as Cheryl’s husband. They love hiking, walking, just spending time together, and anything with the word “fun” in it. And, of course, anything they can do in leading others to know God. Five great kids, and a Grandson (AJ for Action Jaxon) they are helping to raise four more amazing grand children (Maks, Trinity, Treyson, and Baedon). They reside in Omaha, NE. They are all about God, inspiring hope and the kind of wisdom one learns on the seat of a John Deere Tractor. |

Daniel Kiser is the founder of TripleCord Counseling, LLC. He is a Grace University graduate with a master's degree in counseling. He is currently licensed as an Independent Mental Health Practitioner and has done work with individuals, couples, mental health, addictions, trauma, and more. His true passion is working with relationships, especially intimacy issues. He and his wife have had their own journey through intimacy issues and it has opened his eyes to how many people struggle with sex and intimacy but either do not have the resources to work on them or do not feel safe to discuss it.
It is the desire of TripleCord to become a light to those who feel that there is no hope for connection and intimacy. It can feel so lonely to struggle through sexual issues in a relationship, especially in a society that largely encourages silence when it comes to the bedroom. I would love to see you become inspired to wellness and hope as an individual or as a couple who is looking for change. |
